Conscious Convergence + Consorcio de Asociaciones de Santiago
Conscious Convergence Clothing is finally born!
In Chukmuk a little town outside Santiago destroyed from the hurricane Stan and the Internal war conflict happened in Guatemala, this community suffered for social and natural disasters. We recived a Rotary International grant to start a commercial sewing project with the Help of Lantzville Rotary who who recommended Aldea Maya for the grant. We will be using a room in the Consorcio de Associaciones women's coop to set up all the industrial machines. A new coop has been formed to run this project Conscious Clothing Consorcio, to run this project. This coop has 8 women and one man learning to sew. Conscious Convergence , is planning on running the majority of the clothing operation from this site. This is huge, as there are minimal ways to make a living in the highlands of Guatemala and this project will pay fair trade wages. The project is already running since September and we move forward since January 2016! For all us a is a big goal!

Las Ancestrales - Medicinal Plants Garden
Growing & comercializing medicinal plants & natural dyes
Micaela Ujpan Mendoza owns a piece of land where she grows a lot of different species of medicinal plants and natural dyes since years. She takes care to develop the products with her family , and find a way to make the project functional, create working places, and spread knowelge into the community , she will want share the project with a group of women for processing the product, harvesting, dry the plants, ad packing it for selling. In that way we generate new work places and interest in a new healty product. This project is up with the help og Geoparadise Festival , give a Donation for Start up, and Conscious Convrgence, organizing the logistic , and supervising the production.
